Position Overview Purchase assigned raw materials and finished goods from both International and Domestic sources.
Work with other planners and buyers in our Oracle ERP environment to procure goods on time, meeting cost and quality parameters.
Maintain day to day relationships with key International and Domestic suppliers.
Continuously maintain optimal system parameters and update delivery dates to provide accurate information to all internal and external customers.
Implement process improvement initiatives for the department.
Key Accountabilities Generate, validate, and maintain accurate purchase orders (pricing/quantities/delivery) to suppliers to ensure product is delivered by the requested date to meet our internal and external customers' demands, optimizing product availability/sales and inventory levels.
Ensure materials are delivered to meet planned production schedule dates across all domestic production facilities.
Use analytical skills to provide strategic analysis of assigned product lines and make recommendations for continuous improvements.
Work closely with the planning group to ensure data attributes are aligned with supplier requirements, customers' expectations, inventory management and supply chain goals.
Devise tools for measuring supply chain efficiencies, cost savings and continuous improvement and gather data, perform analysis, and provide recommendations that support the organization's strategic goals.
Performance monitoring via supplier scorecards and weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings via conference and in person; initiating corrective action on suppliers that do not meet 100% of Procurement KPI's.
Work cohesively and collaboratively across all internal departments within Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance and Legal, as well as with Elkay's external supplier partners, to meet customer expectations and ensure projects are completed on time.
Performance monitoring via suppliers' scorecards; ensure supplier execution and manage day to day relationship, setting up weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings and/or required communication to ensure on time delivery, available capacity, quality issues, and attribute accuracy (MOQ's, lead times, etc.
) with both International and Domestic suppliers.
At times, will manage sourcing and negotiations, implementation of agreements, and integration of key suppliers.
Qualifications/Requirements BA/BS degree in business, purchasing, operations management, materials manufacturing, or finance.
Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes and inventory management methodologies required.
1-3 years' experience in purchasing, sourcing, finance, and/or operations within a manufacturing environment.

User experience with Oracle or SAP ERP strongly preferred.
High level PC and database applications proficiency:
intermediate Excel skills needed.
